Cornerstone Design@Mines offers two workshop spaces: the Digger Design Lab and the Cornerstone Woodshop.

The Digger Design Lab compliments Mines’ growing network of create-make-collaborate spaces. With the attached Digger Design Woodshop, the Digger Design Lab specialty is lower-accuracy fabrication and messy assembly – no worries about making scratches in the tables here!  With your suggestions, the Maker Club and Cornerstone will work to continuously improve equipment and hours so that this network of spaces can meet your needs and inspire you.

The Digger Design Woodshop may be used during the supervised hours posted below, or upon special request. Students are never permitted to use the shop alone, or use power tools without shop supervision. Please visit the Workshop Hours page for a downloadable workshop schedule as well as the Workshop Policies page for the safety rules and general guidelines.

These spaces are your spaces, and the main rule is to treat it as if it’s yours: keep it neat and clean, and take care of the materials and tools and space.

Entrance is on the lower level on the backside of the Engineering Annex. Please come check us out!
