Computer Aided Design (CAD)
In Design 151, students are taught the basics of CAD in order to graphically communicate their concepts in a standardized, fully-defined manner. Our standard offering through our Skills Labs is 5-6 classes of SolidWorks by Dassault Systems. We offer students an opportunity for Associate’s Certification at the end of the semester.
Students seeking more in-depth CAD instruction or alternate CAD tools may elect to take 1-credit hour EDNS156 (AutoCAD) or EDNS157 (SolidWorks) in lieu of this Skills Lab module.
Students may pursue other CAD tools in two second year Design 251 courses: EDNS262 AutoCAD and EDNS261 GIS.
